About 360 DDI

History

Since its founding in 2007, 360 Degree Development Institute (360 DDI) has been committed to addressing the complex challenges of education disparities and youth substance misuse in various communities. Despite national efforts, the achievement and wealth gaps in underserved communities have remained largely unchanged. The COVID-19 pandemic has continued to exacerbate challenges for many families and students, creating hurdles that could persist for generations.

At 360 DDI, we believe addressing these disparities requires the collective commitment of various stakeholders. In partnership with the Maryland State Dept. of Education (MSDE), Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Community Anti-drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), we are transforming the lives of students and families by providing programming and resources to improve student outcomes and save lives.

Founder
Tanya Madison Morrison

360 DDI was inspired by the vision and passion of Tanya Madison Morrison, Esq., who first created 360 Degree Women in 2007 as a platform to support and uplift women. Tanya believed that every individual deserved the opportunity to thrive, unrestricted by barriers, and it was her life’s mission to empower others to embrace every aspect of life. Her commitment extended beyond women to include youth in 2010. Tanya helped youth find their voices, challenge their limits, and discover their potential through mindfulness and leadership development.

Tanya’s courage and determination were unmatched, making her a beacon of strength for everyone around her. Though she tragically lost her battle with lung cancer in 2017, her spirit drives our work, as we ensure that her mission of empowering youth and adults continues to flourish.

Vision

360 DDI will be a premier non-profit organization offering out of school time, substance prevention programming, and college planning for youth across the U.S. and abroad.

Mission

Through education, prevention, and leadership development, 360 DDI programs will be safe spaces where youth are empowered and equipped to thrive, build a brighter future for themselves, and creatively transform their communities.
